Mentoring Foster Children

Fostering Futures Foundation — Englewood is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting foster children through mentorship, resources, and guidance. Your donations fund one-on-one mentors, life-skills workshops, educational support, and transition planning so young people gain the confidence, practical skills, and stable relationships they need. With your help, youth aging out of foster care have a stronger foundation for employment, housing, and independent living, increasing their chances of long-term success.

Job Placement for Foster Children

We help youth who have aged out of foster care build stable futures by offering hands-on career support. Our services include resume building and interview coaching to highlight skills and work history, internship placements that provide real-world experience and professional references, and job placement assistance connecting candidates with employers who value hiring foster youth. We also provide ongoing mentorship and follow-up to ensure long-term success and workplace retention.

College Prep and Admissions Help for Foster Children

Fostering Futures Foundation provides targeted college-prep and admissions support for foster youth who have aged out of the system. We offer one-on-one advising, application and essay coaching, SAT/ACT and FAFSA guidance, scholarship search assistance, and mentorship to build academic and life skills. Our goal is to remove barriers to higher education, increase college enrollment and retention, and empower young adults to pursue sustainable career pathways.

Trade School Admission for Foster Children

We guide foster youth through every step of the trade school admissions and application process. Our team helps identify career interests, research programs, prepare application materials, secure recommendations, and navigate financial aid and enrollment requirements. We provide personalized coaching, application review, deadline reminders, and advocacy with schools to ensure each youth has a clear path to hands-on training and a sustainable career.

Creative Writing Scholarship for Foster Children

Our creative scholarship and writing classes give children in foster care a safe, supportive space to find their voices and build confidence. Through guided workshops, one-on-one coaching, and opportunities to share work, participants develop writing skills for both personal expression and future professional success. We focus on storytelling, journaling, poetry, and practical writing—helping youth organize ideas, refine grammar, and present their work with clarity. By combining creative exploration with real-world writing tools, we empower foster children to tell their stories, strengthen communication, and open pathways to education and career opportunities.

Scholarship for Foster Children

Fostering Futures Foundation offers scholarship support for youth in foster care and young adults aging out of the system. Our scholarships help cover college, trade school, certification programs, and essential education-related expenses—tuition, books, fees, and supplies—so students can pursue career training and higher education with greater stability. Applicants are evaluated on need, academic goals, and commitment to personal growth. We aim to remove financial barriers and create pathways to independence and long-term success.
