At Fostering Futures Foundation, we believe every young person deserves a strong start as they transition out of the foster care system. Our Farewell Kits campaign provides practical support, encouragement, and essential resources to teens and young adults who are preparing to live independently.
What You’ll Do as a Volunteer:
Help solicit and collect product donations (travel-sized toiletries, clothing, snacks, first aid supplies, backpacks, and other daily essentials).
Pack thoughtful Farewell Kits that include hygiene items, basic necessities, and resource cards with information about shelters, financial support, job placement services, and grants.
Assist with transporting and distributing the completed kits at events and to partner shelters and agencies.

Farewell has two powerful meanings for youth aging out of care — “Goodbye” and “Be well.” Your time and effort help send these young people into their next chapter with dignity, practical tools, and the knowledge that someone cares.
